Context

The client, a professional who travels frequently for work, moved out of a large apartment and into a studio that was better suited to her lifestyle.
Her goal was to gain practicality and comfort without sacrificing hospitality or elegance.
Not having the time to manage such a project on her own, she called on Fredricks Design comprehensive support, from concept to completion.

Approach & design

Every square centimetre has been designed to give the studio real versatility:

• An open separation between kitchen and living room to structure without closing.
• A retractable bed, discreet and functional, to accommodate guests without taking up space.
• A laundry room integrated into a kitchen cupboard, practical for managing laundry despite the constraints of a rental building.
• The sofa has been precisely fitted between the front wall and the bed module.

It was designed as a direct response to her needs: simplicity for everyday use and modularity for entertaining.

Ambiance & materials

We worked with colors and textures that were familiar to her, so that she would immediately feel "at home" despite this new, smaller space.
The palette, sober and elegant, revolves around soft, warm tones, enhanced by materials that bring depth and coherence to the whole.
The result is a bright, welcoming studio, where every detail contributes to a harmonious atmosphere.
