Ambrozie" project

An atypical coffee shop designed around branding and catering standards.

Location: Nyon

Year: 2018

Surface area: Coffee & snacks

Type: Commercial / Horeca

Mission: Global branding, interior design, flow optimization, compliance with catering standards

Context

Ambrozie is a café with an atypical concept, based on the sale of CBD products. Taking over the establishment required a clear repositioning, both in terms of branding and interior design.
The challenge was to create an identifiable and welcoming space, while complying with catering standards and the specific legal requirements of the trade police.

Approach & design

My experience as aformer hotelier (EHL Alumni) was a key asset for this project, integrating the constraints and standards specific to the hotel and catering sector:

  • Visual identity & branding: consistency between interior design, drinks menus and communications,
  • Optimized circulation plan: central wooden bar as focal point, fluidity between reception, service and dining room,
  • Ergonomics & comfort: a variety of seating options (benches, stools, armchairs) adapted to different customer uses,
  • Legal compliance: compliance with CBD-related safety, accessibility and trade police regulations.

Ambiance & materials

The café has been designed to be both friendly and contemporary:

  • Warm wood and robust finishes for intensive use,
  • Deep green as a visual identity thread,
  • Soft lighting for a cosy, welcoming atmosphere,
  • Graphic details to reinforce the branding and legibility of the concept.

Results

Ambrozie has become a recognizable address in Nyon:

  • a clear, differentiating concept,
  • a smooth, efficient flow of service,
  • a strong, coherent identity in line with catering standards,
  • a place designed to attract and retain customers.
