Inspiration & concept
The Versoix Tennis Club project was designed to be much more than just a reception area:
the aim was to transform the clubhouse into a real living space, capable of welcoming players, members, and visitors throughout the day.
The interior design is directly inspired by the DNA of tennis:
-
The circular shapes of tennis balls are reflected in the elements suspended from the ceiling.
-
The dynamic lines evoke the movement, trajectory, and energy of the game.
-
The layout encourages spontaneous encounters, relaxation after exercise, and camaraderie among members.
The project creates a strong link between sport, architecture, and use, offering a space that is functional, welcoming, and distinctive.
Ambiance & materials
The interior atmosphere strikes a balance between sporty dynamism and comfort:
-
Light wood to bring warmth and timelessness,
-
Green and yellow tones, echoing the colors of tennis and the club's universe,
-
User-friendly furniture that encourages interaction, breaks, and meals.
-
Scenographic lighting treatment, with circular suspended light fixtures reminiscent of tennis balls, reinforcing the identity of the venue.
Lighting plays a central role in the project: it structures the space, creates a warm atmosphere in the evening, and supports the various uses of the clubhouse.
Expected result
This concept offered a contemporary vision of the sports clubhouse:
-
A welcoming space for members and visitors,
-
A venue capable of evolving between sporting events, other events, and catering,
-
An interior design that reinforces the identity of the Versoix Tennis Club while enhancing the user experience.
Even though it was never realized, this project illustrates the ability of Fredricks Design to design commercial and institutional spaces where interior architecture becomes a real tool for image and social connection.
