"Telli project

A renovation that transforms light and redefines living space.

Location: Nyon, Switzerland

Year: 2025

Surface area: Master suite with built-in dressing room

Type: Residential

Mission: Closure of an open mezzanine, creation of a complete master suite, meticulous optimization of volumes, custom headboard, integration of a dressing room and management of ceiling heights.

Context

This mezzanine, which opened onto the living room and was protected only by a glass balustrade, offered great volume but lacked privacy. The customers' objective was clear: to turn it into a truly independent master bedroom, with its own dressing room and hotel-like atmosphere.

Approach & design

The main challenge was to manage the roof pitch and ceiling heights (from 4 m to 3 m). Every detail was thought out to the millimetre:

  • Tailor-made inclined partition: designed to follow the framework, it closes off the room while creating a new volumetry,
  • Grooved oak headboard: integrated into the partition, it becomes the central element of the bedroom, interacting with the verticality of the hanging lights,
  • Concealed walk-in wardrobe: positioned behind the headboard partition, it takes full advantage of the depth of the space and offers fluid storage,
  • Blackout curtains: custom-made to meet customer requirements, guarantee darkness and improve acoustics,
  • Vertical lighting: two minimalist pendant lights descend from each bedside, accentuating the ceiling height and providing a luminous backdrop.

Ambiance & materials

The space is distinguished by its simple yet sophisticated architectural style:

  • milled oak structures the headboard and introduces a graphic rhythm,
  • Matte whites and gray curtains create a discreet contrast that enhances the painted frame,
  • volumes gain in intimacy and depth thanks to the interplay between solid walls and light openings.

Results

The Telli project Telli how a volume can be reinvented:

  • an open mezzanine becomes an intimate master suite,
  • technical constraints (slope, height, elimination of railings) are transformed into strengths,
  • the headboard and integrated dressing area provide a clear, lasting identity.
