Tourniaux" project

A shower room transformed into a modern, travel-inspired space.

Location: Borex, Switzerland

Year: 2024

Surface: Shower room

Type: Residential

Mission: Complete renovation of the shower room - extension of the shower, modernization of coverings and integration of high-end materials.

Context

The original shower room, dark and dated, lacked comfort and practicality. The customers' objective was simple: to transform this cramped space into a bright, contemporary shower room, with a touch of travel-inspired originality.

Approach & design

The project required a complete redesign:

  • Enlarged shower for greater everyday comfort,
  • Choose a Corian shower tray and basin: a high-end, resistant and elegant material that guarantees a smooth, hygienic finish,
  • Popham Design Moroccan cement tile coverings: modern geometric patterns add depth and personality,
  • Optimization of integrated lighting to enhance volumes and create a soothing ambience,
  • Suspended furniture in light wood finish, to clear the floor and accentuate the feeling of space.

Ambiance & materials

The new shower room plays on the contrast between sobriety and character:

  • Popham Design tiles for floor and shower enclosures, reminiscent of Moroccan craftsmanship and a strong visual identity,
  • Large, light-colored wall tiles accentuate luminosity and visually enlarge the space,
  • Decorative touches (plants, travel objects, frames) to personalize the atmosphere,
  • Corian + handmade cement: a marriage of modernity and authenticity.

Results

An everyday space turned into a real experience:

  • A bright, spacious and modern shower room,
  • References to travel through the choice of Popham Design tiles,
  • A balanced atmosphere of contemporary design and hand-crafted warmth,
