Sebak" project

A semi-detached house designed to grow with the family.

Location: Geneva, Switzerland

Year: 2023

Type: Residential

Mission: To provide full support to customers in choosing interior layouts during construction (kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedrooms, storage, technological integration).

Context

The customers had moved from their city apartment to a terraced house, following the arrival of a new child.
Their need was to optimize the space to combine family life, conviviality and ergonomics, while retaining certain elements of their previous home. As is often the case, the project was designed with continuity in mind: you don't buy brand new, you integrate what already exists to create a coherent, welcoming whole.

Approach & design

Throughout the project, I supported them in their technical and aesthetic choices:

  • Kitchen: clean lines, herringbone credenza and central bar with comfortable seating,
  • Made-to-measure storage: optimized for everyday family life, easy to maintain, integrated right down to the staircase,
  • Bedrooms: organization of children's areas and creation of an elegant master suite,
  • Bathroom: contemporary simplicity and practicality,
  • Integrated technology: Samsung screen, in-ceiling speakers, discreet home automation for everyday comfort.

Ambiance & materials

The ambiance of the Sebak project is based on a balance between warmth and modernity:

  • Soft, timeless palette: white, light wood and touches of duck blue,
  • Natural materials (wood, fiber, gilded metal) contrast with more contemporary finishes,
  • Personal touches like carved wooden tables and textured carpets,
  • Visual consistency from the first floor through to the night spaces.

Results

The Sebak house has become a true family home:

  • functional, easy-to-live-with spaces,
  • a contemporary identity enriched by authentic touches,
  • discreet but effective technological integration,
  • a project designed to evolve with the family.
