Les Vergers Project

A luminous family living room, designed to welcome and share.

Location: Chavannes de Bogis, Switzerland

Year: 2021

Surface area: Living room + entrance

Type: Residential, family home

Mission: Creation of two distinct spaces (reception + fireplace area), optimization of existing furniture, enhancement of lighting and colors.

Context

With three children and an active social life, this family needed a living room capable of welcoming family and friends in complete conviviality.
The aim was to transform a large space into two complementary zones - a cosy fireplace area and a convivial reception area - while giving the whole a real identity.

Approach & design

The project was based on :

  • The creation of two differentiated but visually connected spaces,
  • Creative reuse of existing furniture (e.g. transforming an IKEA headboard into wall cladding for the entrance → becoming a unique coat rack),
  • The addition of new seats and vintage pieces to multiply the possibilities of reception,
  • The integration of bold colors (yellow, blue, green) as a common thread.

Ambiance & materials

Abundant natural light has become the central element of the project.

  • Light wood furniture and clean lines for structure,
  • Textured carpets and colorful textiles for warmth and comfort,
  • Vibrant touches (paintings, cushions, yellow panels) that reflect the culture and personality of the inhabitants,
  • Plants and natural elements to anchor you in a living, welcoming world.

Results

The Vergers living room Vergers an interior:

  • bright and open,
  • warm and adaptable, suitable for large gatherings as well as intimate moments,
  • which blends heritage, reuse and modernity in an authentic family atmosphere.
